ALA Studio<\/a> is a full service architecture and interior design firm that emphasizes deep listening and hands-on collaboration with clients throughout the design process. We\u2019ve got a number of exciting projects on tap, and are looking for the next key player in our integrated design team: a full-time Junior Designer for our commercial interiors projects. Our ideal candidate is kind, resourceful, organized, an incredible communicator, has a sophisticated design sensibility, and a true self-starter who is looking to gain experience in both interior design and architecture.\u00a0 She\/he\/they should be someone who is looking to have ownership and responsibility from day one and is interested in becoming an integral part of a growing team.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

Contribute to planning and concepting, BIM modeling, preparing design presentations, visualizations and construction drawings<\/p>\n

Assist with research, design, selection, specification, & documentation of interior design elements such as furniture, fixtures, finishes, millwork, lighting, etc.<\/p>\n

Assist with on-site surveying, construction administration and FF&E\/Styling installation review<\/p>\n

Communicate and interface with clients, engineering consultant, vendors, dealers, manufacturers, fabricators & contractors<\/p>\n

Learn from and work closely under our Studio Director and Project Managers<\/p>\n

Maintain materials library and develop product and sample collection\n<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/p>\n

0-3 post-degree years of relevant experience at an architecture or design office. Experience on DD\/CD phases for interior architecture projects is a plus.\u00a0<\/p>\n

MUST have experience and proficiency in Revit and Enscape<\/p>\n

Comfort with multi-tasking and collaboration within a context of fast-paced projects<\/p>\n

Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to take on a variety of tasks<\/p>\n

Excellent English language communication and client-facing skills<\/p>\n

Work examples that demonstrate a sophisticated design sensibility<\/p>\n

Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, Excel, Smartsheet knowledge is also required<\/p>\n

FF&E sourcing and specification experience a plus<\/p>\n

Located in NYC area and available start ASAP<\/p>\n

Hybrid work schedule. Our office is in the Financial District. We are in office about ~3 days on average, individually set around project and team needs.<\/p>\n
