A Bronx teen was arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of Brooklyn man in March 2023.<\/p>\n
Police say they are still searching for two other men.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened on March 10, 2023 inside 1690 E 174th St. in the Soundview section of the Bronx.<\/p>\n
According to the NYPD, 33-year-old Brooklyn native Trevor Roberts was shot in the chest.<\/p>\n
He was then taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n
Police say they arrested 19-year-old Thomas Padilla, from the Bronx.<\/p>\n
He was taken into custody Tuesday evening just before 5 p.m. and faces multiple charges, including murder.<\/p>\n
Since the shooting happened in 2023, Padilla was around 16 or 17 years old at the time. <\/p>\n
Neighbors say teen gun violence is a serious issue.<\/p>\n
“We gotta find out where these guns are coming from and get to the bottom of that…and how these kids are getting these guns in their hand, they\u2019re making reckless choices,” said,” Crotona resident Chris Lee.<\/p>\n
“You gotta find out what\u2019s going on with these kids at home,\u201d said Soundview resident Ricardo Cantoral.<\/p>\n
Police also released images of the three people they had been looking for last month and are asking for the public\u2019s help in their search for the two other men. <\/p>\n
