The Child Development Center of MMCC (Mosholu Montefiore Community Center) has been named as a new grant recipient. Agnes Matibag, the executive director of the center, says this grant is a dream come true.<\/p>\n
“It basically provides us with more stability, sufficiency, for the entire community not only in the Bronx but now in Queens,” said Matibag.<\/p>\n
The Child Development Center aims to provide services not only for children but also for their families. <\/p>\n
“We are basically the bridge of the services that our families need and the children,” said Matibag.<\/p>\n
Services like general and special education for kids, employment help for parents, mental health services and more. The nonprofit picks families through what they call a selection criteria and try to aim for families who could benefit most from their services.<\/p>\n
