Residents made several reports of ICE activity in multiple locations in Manhattan Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
Riley County police confirmed that federal Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials were active in the area, but a spokesman said the police department was not directly involved and couldn\u2019t comment on any operations.<\/p>\n
RCPD director Brian Peete said the department was not notified of the activity before it happened.<\/p>\n
Photos and videos shared on social media showed a group of unmarked cars that had made early-morning stops at the construction site at CiCo Park, at Diamond Roofing, and at Knox Lane and Hayes Drive in the Northview area.<\/p>\n
Officials from the ICE Midwest field office did not immediately respond to calls for comment.
