The \u201cToday\u201d show has reportedly ramped up security, along with 30 Rockefeller Plaza more broadly, in the wake of the apparent abduction of host Savannah Guthrie\u2019s mother<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The NYPD has an increased presence outside 30 Rock, while private security has also been stepped up in an abundance of caution, law enforcement sources\u00a0told the Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThings are tense at the studio, and as a result, NBC has stepped up security for on-air talent,\u201d an insider told the Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n

Nancy Guthrie, mother of \u201cToday\u201d host Savannah Guthrie was allegedly abducted over the weekend. Facebook\/Nancy Guthrie<\/p>\n

\u201cNBC has partnered with the NYPD to make sure their staff remains safe, out of an abundance of caution,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n

Savannah\u2019s \u201cToday\u201d co-hosts have spoken out about how the alleged abduction of 84-year-old Nancy from her home in Tucson, Arizona, last weekend has left them shocked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll just tell you guys, behind the scenes \u2026 we\u2019re all rattled,\u201d co-host Sheinelle Jones said during the opening segment to Tuesday\u2019s \u201cJenna & Sheinelle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all shaken. We all recognize that we have a job to do. But as you guys know, we\u2019re family around here, and it\u2019s not just something that we say. We\u2019ve all been a little rattled,\u201d she went on.<\/p>\n

Jones added that she had \u201ctrouble sleeping\u201d in the wake of Nancy\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n

With many TV presenters sharing details about their families on social media, there are reportedly fears of copycat attacks.<\/p>\n

Rival networks have also reportedly been asked about stepped-up security measures they may be taking around their own talent and production offices, although they have yet to do so.<\/p>\n

No suspects have yet been named by police in the disappearance of Nancy, who was last seen on Saturday at around 9:45 p.m.<\/a> when she was dropped off by family following dinner and a game of mahjong.<\/p>\n

At around 2 a.m., her pacemaker lost connection with her Apple Watch<\/a>, which was found at her home the following day.<\/p>\n

After Nancy didn\u2019t show up at church on Sunday morning, a concerned fellow-worshipper alerted her family, who called the police.<\/p>\n

The 84-year-old was last seen on Saturday night. Facebook\/Nancy Guthrie<\/p>\n

Blood drops and signs of forced entry<\/a> were reportedly found at her house in the Catalina Foothills area of Arizona, on the northern outskirts of Tucson.<\/p>\n

The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department said it wouldn\u2019t hold any further press conferences<\/a> until there were any concrete updates in the case.<\/p>\n
