Inside a packed funeral home, family and friends sang spiritual songs to honor the life of Ennin, who police say was killed while on his way to work Jan. 5.<\/p>\n
Surveillance video shows the moment investigators say Ennin was attacked on Third Avenue in broad daylight.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors say 38-year-old Sean Jones, who is known to police and has an extensive criminal record, pounced on Ennin and stabbed him multiple times in what authorities describe as an unprovoked attack.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat he did to my dad was not fair at all,\u201d said Ennin\u2019s 19-year-old daughter, Nanayaa. \u201cNobody in this world should ever take somebody\u2019s life just like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nanayaa says she is still trying to process life without her father.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have to stay strong,\u201d she said. \u201cLife without him will be hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ennin and his daughters moved to the Bronx in 2011, bringing with them their strong Ghanaian culture.<\/p>\n
Family members say Ennin was killed just days after returning home from a monthlong trip to Ghana. Nanayaa was visiting her aunt at the time and says she only got to hear her father\u2019s voice over the phone before he was killed.<\/p>\n
Jones is due back in court in March and faces multiple charges, including murder.
