Several buildings on Villa Avenue in Bedford Park experienced a power outage on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Con Edison power outage map showed 422 customers without power between E. 205th Street and Villa Avenue. Neighbors told News 12 they noticed their lights flickering around 7 a.m. before shutting off completely.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s sad, and it\u2019s a weekend too. It\u2019s a cold day and I don\u2019t have no words to explain,\u201d said neighbor Anthony Fernandez.<\/p>\n
Other residents were stuck inside their building\u2019s laundromat, where machines shut off mid-cycle. Eva, who uses a wheelchair, said she was unable to get home.<\/p>\n
\u201cI come down and do the laundry. Now my clothes are stuck in the laundry. The elevators don\u2019t work. I don\u2019t walk and I live on the 8th floor,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
