After being stripped of his remaining titles and evicted from<\/a> his Royal Lodge mansion, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a> is reportedly clinging on to the royal ties he has left \u2026 the late Queen Elizabeth\u2019s<\/a> two corgi dogs. <\/p>\n

When Her Majesty passed away in September 2022, the then-Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, took on the Queen\u2019s pet dogs<\/a>, Muick and Sandy. The pets were very dear to the late monarch. In fact, she owned more than 30 Pembroke Welsh Corgis and \u201cdorgis\u201d throughout her lifetime.<\/p>\n

Now, however, some royal critics believe Andrew should give the dogs up<\/a>. This comes amid growing and ongoing speculation over his alleged ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The former Prince was again featured in the latest batch<\/a> of Epstein files. These included an array of photos showing him crouched over an unidentified woman on the floor. Despite all that, the former Duke of York has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to the late financier.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe takes huge pride in looking after the dogs,\u201d a source told Radar Online<\/a> of Andrew\u2019s decision to keep caring for Muick and Sandy. \u201cMany royals feel it\u2019s inappropriate, but Andrew insisted his mother made her wishes clear.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe often says the Queen personally handed him the leashes,\u201d the insider added. \u201cHe sees it as a sign of her trust \u2013 and a reminder of how different things feel now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Previously speaking about the corgis, Sarah told The Telegraph<\/a> it was a \u201cbig honor\u201d to care for them. She went on to describe Muick and Sandy as \u201cnational treasures\u201d and added that they\u2019d \u201cbeen taught well.\u201d<\/p>\n
