Bruce Blakeman has selected Todd Hood, sheriff in Madison County since 2018, as his running mate in New York\u2019s gubernatorial race, sources tell News 12.<\/p>\n
The Nassau County executive is speaking today at the Garden City Hotel during the nominating convention being held at the Garden City Hotel.<\/p>\n
According to bio information on the Madison County Sheriff\u2019s Office website, Hood has a long law enforcement career that began as a corrections officer in Madison County. He graduated from the Mohawk Valley Police Academy in 1991.<\/p>\n
He worked as a patrolman with the New York State Parks Police, the Village of Clinton and the Town of Kirkland until 1993, when he became a patrolman with the Syracuse Police Department.<\/p>\n
