<\/p>\nClaims around Brooklyn Peltz Beckham\u2019s feud with his family are \u201chardly the truth\u201d, a singer at his wedding to Nicola Peltz has said.<\/p>\n
Marc Anthony was dragged into Peltz Beckham\u2019s disagreements with his parents, Sir David Beckham and Lady Beckham, when, on Jan 23, DJ Fat Tony told ITV\u2019s This Morning that the singer asked for \u201cthe most beautiful woman in the room\u201d to come to the stage at the wedding.<\/p>\n
Guests were said to have believed it was for Peltz\u2019s first dance with Peltz Beckham, but instead Lady Beckham was then called to the stage and asked to dance with her son, prompting Peltz to leave the room in tears.<\/p>\n
Now in an interview with US outlet The Hollywood Reporter, Anthony said: \u201cI have nothing to say about what\u2019s happening with the family. They\u2019re a wonderful, wonderful family. I\u2019ve known them since before the kids were born. I\u2019m godfather to Cruz.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m really close to the family. But I have nothing to say about what happened there. It\u2019s extremely unfortunate how it\u2019s playing out \u2013 but [how it\u2019s playing out] is hardly the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peltz Beckham announced in a social media post in January that he did not want to \u201creconcile\u201d with his family, having accused his parents of prioritising \u201cBrand Beckham\u201d over all else and controlling narratives in the press.<\/p>\n
In the posts, he claimed his mother \u201chijacked\u201d his first dance at his wedding with an \u201cinappropriate\u201d display that left him \u201cuncomfortable and humiliated\u201d.<\/p>\n
He also accused his parents of \u201ctrying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn\u2019t stopped\u201d.<\/p>\n

DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the wedding, says Marc Anthony called Lady Beckham to the stage to dance with her son – ITV<\/p>\n
Speaking on This Morning, the DJ, who performed at the wedding, said: \u201cWhat it was, was \u2013 and why I said it was inappropriate as well \u2013 was because it was the timing. What happened was, basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto the stage.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrooklyn went onto the stage, and the next minute everyone\u2019s expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then Marc asked for the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage \u2013 and then he says, \u2018Victoria, come to the stage\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo Victoria is by the stage, she goes onto the stage, and of course, at that point, Brooklyn is literally devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife, then Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrooklyn is stuck there on stage, and they do this dance, and Marc Anthony says \u2018put your hands on your mother\u2019s hips\u2019 and it was a Latin thing, and the whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room.\u201d<\/p>\n
