Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado confirmed on Monday that he will not run for re-election on the ticket with Gov. Kathy Hochul in 2026. Delgado, who was appointed to the role in 2022, said he will serve out his current term, which runs until January 2027.<\/p>\n

Delgado suspends campaign for NY governor <\/p>\n

“I’ve decided to end my campaign for Governor of New York,” Delgado said in a statement provided to FOX 5 NY’s political reporter Morgan McKay.<\/p>\n

“After much consideration, I’ve concluded that there simply is no viable path forward.”<\/p>\n
