This is Laegreid\u2019s second Olympic medal, following the gold he won in the relay at the 2022 Winter Games.<\/p>\n
Later, at a news conference, Laegreid addressed his public confession.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, now I hope I didn\u2019t ruin Johan\u2019s day,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know if it was the right choice or not, but it was the choice I made.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said he didn\u2019t want to steal the show, adding, \u201cI made the choice to tell the world what I did so maybe there\u2019s a chance she will see what she really means to me \u2014 maybe not, but I don\u2019t want to think I didn\u2019t try everything to get her back.\u201d<\/p>\n
