An starry lineup of Broadway talent will appear\u00a0in a one-night concert presentation of Rob\u00a0Gardner’s\u00a0Lamb of God at the Metropolitan Opera House on March 30.<\/p>\n

The musical retelling of the Passion will star Jessie Mueller<\/a>\u00a0(Waitress, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical)\u00a0as Mary the Mother, Santino Fontana<\/a> (Tootsie, Hello, Dolly!)\u00a0as John, Norm Lewis<\/a> (The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, Chicken & Biscuits) as Pilate, Joy Woods<\/a> (Gypsy, The Notebook)\u00a0as Martha, Anna Zavelson<\/a> (Masquerade,\u00a0The Notebook) as Mary Magdalene, and Alex Joseph Grayson<\/a> (Parade, The Outsiders) as Thomas. They will be joined by an 80-piece orchestra and 135-person choir, combining the Brigham Young University Singers and the Brigham Young University Concert Choir, conducted by\u00a0Gardner.<\/p>\n

The Easter week\u00a0concert is presented in partnership with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This will mark the first fully-realized New York City performance of\u00a0Lamb of God, which debuted\u00a0as a concept album featuring the London Symphony Orchestra in 2010, and has since been performed around the globe.<\/p>\n
