NEW YORK CITY \u2014 A man has been arrested for stabbing a subway rider on a Manhattan subway platform two months ago, police said on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
Christopher Betancourt, 25, was taken into custody on Tuesday and has been charged with assault for stabbing a 45-year-old man inside Union Square station on Dec. 10.<\/p>\n
According to police, the victim and Betancourt got into an argument on a Manhattan bound train that spilled onto the platform. <\/p>\n
The 45-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the back. Betancourt fled the scene after the stabbing. <\/p>\n
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. <\/p>\n
Betancourt is expected to be arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court. Defense attorney information for Betancourt was not readily available. <\/p>\n
