STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Kid Rock is snapping at reports and social media comments that accused the musician of lip syncing during the Turning Point USA\u2019s All-American Halftime Show. <\/p>\n
Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, took to X Tuesday to dismiss \u201cthe haters and fake news.\u201d <\/p>\n
He confirmed his performance \u201cwas pre-recorded but performed live.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cWhen they synced the cameras to my performance on Bawitdaba, it did not line up as I explain in this video,\u201d Rock wrote in his tweet. <\/p>\n
The video, nearly five minutes long and featuring Rock\u2019s rapping, garnered 6.2 million views at the time of publishing. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we\u2019re rapping it, that song takes so much energy,\u201d Rock said. \u201cHe\u2019s [Rock\u2019s DJ, Paradime] filling in those words for me so I can [catch my breath], bang my head, keep going and carrying on.\u201d<\/p>\n
The TPUSA show was put on in protest of Bad Bunny being selected as the Super Bowl Halftime Show artist. <\/p>\n
The show pulled in a meager 6.1 million viewers. <\/p>\n
