The targeted enforcement effort, aimed at reducing impaired and dangerous driving during one of the year’s busiest travel weekends, saw troopers issue a total of 8,263 tickets statewide, according to information released by the New York State Police<\/a>. This year’s DWI arrest numbers represent an increase from the 2025 Super Bowl weekend campaign, when 161 drivers were arrested for impaired driving.<\/p>\n During the three-day enforcement period, state troopers maintained an increased presence on roadways using both marked and unmarked vehicles and established sobriety checkpoints in strategic locations.
