BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) \u2014 A former teacher who worked at a childcare center in Brooklyn was arraigned on Wednesday, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced.<\/p>\n
Devonte Brown, 30, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, is accused of sexually abusing young girls who were students at the childcare center.<\/p>\n
More Local News <\/a><\/p>\n Officials say that between April 1, 2024, and Aug. 22, 2025, Brown allegedly sexually abused four young girls, whose ages were 5, 5, 6, and 9.<\/p>\n The alleged sexual conduct happened inside the childcare center; however, one incident allegedly happened at Pier 6 at Brooklyn Bridge Park, officials say.<\/p>\n Brown is accused of intimidating one of the children to stay quiet, threatening that her favorite teacher would be fired if they told an adult, officials say.<\/p>\n The children informed their parents of what had happened in August and September 2025.<\/p>\n Make PIX11 your preferred news source on Google: Here\u2019s how <\/a><\/p>\n Brown was arraigned on the following charges:<\/p>\n Second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child<\/p>\n Seven counts of forcible touching<\/p>\n Four counts of endangering the welfare of a child<\/p>\n Brown was ordered to be held on $150,000 cash bail.
