{"id":13104,"date":"2025-10-23T07:15:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T07:15:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/13104\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T07:15:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T07:15:13","slug":"coney-island-residents-say-rats-are-keeping-cats-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/13104\/","title":{"rendered":"Coney Island residents say rats are keeping cats away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some Coney Island residents say they\u2019re fed up with rats running around their neighborhood and even keeping\u00a0cats away from West 32nd Street between Surf Avenue and the Coney Island boardwalk.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe rats [are] chasing you,\u201d said Tammy, of Coney Island. \u201cThey\u2019re not even scared of you.
