Cave and marks the first time the pair have faced off in court since their legal battle began<\/a>.<\/p>\n The duo first sparked feud rumors in August 2024 when they did separate press for their movie, which is based on the Colleen Hoover book of the same name, despite playing love interests.<\/p>\n Lively suited up for Wednesday\u2019s settlement conference. REUTERS<\/p>\n Four months later, Lively filed a complaint accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment<\/a> \u2014 and officially sued the director<\/a> in January 2025.<\/p>\n The \u201cShallows\u201d star has claimed she suffered at least $161 million<\/a> in lost earnings and damages due to the alleged smear campaign launched against her<\/a> when the film came out<\/a>.<\/p>\n Baldoni, who denied Lively\u2019s allegations, sued her<\/a> \u2014 and her husband, Ryan Reynolds<\/a> \u2014 for $400 million later that same month.<\/p>\n The couple, who have been married since September 2012, requested the \u201cabhorrent\u201d countersuit be dropped<\/a> in March 2025.<\/p>\n Their trial is currently scheduled for May 18. Liman filed a motion to dismiss Baldoni\u2019s lawsuit<\/a> in June 2025, and that case officially came to a close<\/a> five months later when Baldoni\u2019s team neglected to file an amended complaint by the deadline.<\/p>\n His attorney claimed this choice was made so Baldoni could potentially appeal later on.<\/p>\n Baldoni (pictured above on Wednesday) has denied Lively\u2019s claims.
