Photo courtesy of Kaya Bliss<\/p>\n<p>Co-owner Edgar Kleydman recalled being \u201ca nervous wreck\u201d minutes before opening but was quickly reassured when customers lined up around the block. The shop would go on to welcome more than 100,000 \u201cblissful\u201d customers in its first year.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s never been about the data, the team told Brooklyn Paper, it\u2019s about helping the nervous newbies, supporting the veterans searching for better sleep and guiding the artists chasing a spark of inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>That human focus, they said, is rooted in the company\u2019s mission: offering clean, lab-tested cannabis in a space designed as a sanctuary, where education, wellness and community always come first.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-238090 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/kaya-bliss-2.jpg\" alt=\"kaya bliss customers\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\"  \/>The shop aims to offer a variety of high-quality products for new and experienced consumers. Photos courtesy of Kaya Bliss<\/p>\n<p>Over the past year, <a href=\"https:\/\/kayablissnyc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kaya Bliss<\/a> has also earned a reputation for one of the largest selections in Bay Ridge, offering more than 400 products from over 30 brands \u2014 from flower and vapes to tinctures, topicals and concentrates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s something for everyone if they choose to use it,\u201d budtender Richard said at last year\u2019s opening.\n<\/p>\n<p>And the same thought went into its birthday party.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cCelebrating Kaya Bliss\u2019s one-year anniversary was such a special milestone to be part of,\u201d said marketing head Daryn S. \u201cAs the lead of Kaya Bliss\u2019s marketing and events, I planned our \u2018First Birthday\u2019 celebration with the intention of creating a truly immersive community experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pot shop partnered with several \u201cincredible brands,\u201d Daryn said, \u201cto bring interactive elements to life \u2014 from live art and custom heat-pressed tote bags to catering, beverages, and thoughtful giveaways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But what stood out most wasn\u2019t the programming \u2014 it was the people who filled the space.\n<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-238084\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/DSC_2916.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\"  \/>A DJ spins inside Kaya Bliss during the dispensary\u2019s weekend-long anniversary celebration. Photo courtesy of Kaya Bliss<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeeing both new and returning guests come by, connect, and genuinely enjoy themselves was the most rewarding part,\u201d Daryn said. \u201cOur first year has been about building community in Bay Ridge, and this celebration felt like a reflection of that growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The owners say the milestone has also offered a moment to reflect on how far the shop \u2014 and the neighborhood \u2014 has come.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re deeply thankful to the Bay Ridge community for welcoming us and trusting us throughout our first year. As the neighborhood\u2019s first legal dispensary, we experienced some early pushback, but many of those conversations turned into relationships we truly value,\u201d owners Edgar, Giorgio and Amir told Brooklyn Paper in a joint statement. \u201cSeeing that shift has been incredibly meaningful.
