The Gators, who also received five blocks from Monroe, improved to 11-8 overall, including 6-5 in league play with the playoffs right around the corner.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe displayed a balanced attack on both ends of the floor, combining disciplined defense with efficient scoring to control the game from start to finish,\u2019’ lauded NDA head coach Bobby DellaValle. \u201dIt was a strong, all-around team effort.\u2019’<\/p>\n
Gianna Montagna added 13 points and provide a huge spark in the first quarter with three three-pointers.<\/p>\n
Savannah Breslin and Gianna Lorenzo, meanwhile, played key roles beyond the stat sheet, anchoring the defense and effectively running the offense to keep the team organized and in rhythm throughout the contest. <\/p>\n
\u201cTheir composure and leadership helped set the tone for a well-rounded performance,\u2019’ added DellaValle. <\/p>\n
The Gators return to action Thursday as they meet Moore Catholic at the College of Staten Island (7:30). NDA will then honor its seniors during Senior Night against Petrides on Friday at CSI (6 p.m.).<\/p>\n

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 The Mavericks celebrated Senior Night with the CHSAA AA victory over the visiting Lions on Wednesday in Graniteville.<\/p>\n
Moore honored its eight seniors, including Mackenzie Felci, Allie Felci, Emma Costanzo, Alyssa Ragona, Veronica Barbato, Laila Moley, Maddie Foder and Gab Cuesta for their dedication and impact on the program. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a special group that has meant so much to our program over the last four years,\u201d said head coach Gene Henderson. \u201cThey\u2019ve helped build something we\u2019re very proud of.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Mavericks came out strong, jumping to an 18\u20139 lead after the first quarter. <\/p>\n
Loughlin responded in the second, outscoring the Mavs 22\u201312 to take a one-point lead into halftime. <\/p>\n
But adjustments at the break proved decisive as the Mavericks switched to a 2\u20133 zone defense to regain control of the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe thought was to change up and show them a little zone, and it worked,\u201d said assistant coach Amanda Henderson, who coached her fourth straight game. \u201cThe effort and communication were outstanding.\u201d <\/p>\n
Allie Felci led the way with a standout performance, scoring 24 points and grabbing eight rebounds. <\/p>\n
\u201cAllie was just great tonight,\u201d added Amanda Henderson. <\/p>\n
Mackenzie Felci recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Emma Costanzo contributed 13 points and seven assists. Veronica Barbato and Alyssa Ragona combined for 12 points.<\/p>\n
With the win, the Mavericks improve to 16\u20135 overall and remain undefeated in league play at 11\u20130.<\/p>\n
\u201cHonoring these seniors made the night even more meaningful,\u201d said Amanda Henderson, whose team visits NDA Thursday at CSI. \u201cEvery one of them played a role in this win.\u201d<\/p>\n

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Junior Grace Anderson poured in 35 points as the Pirates wrapped up the regular season with the non-league victory over the Jersey City school in Huguenot on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Tottenville, which also received eight assists and eight rebounds from Anderson, improved to 19-5 overall. The Huguenot school, of course, finished undefeated in league play (14-0).<\/p>\n
\u201cThis was a big win for us. It\u2019s always nice to finish the regular season with a good game and a game that prepares us for the playoffs,\u2019’ said Tottenville head coach Jessica Althoff. \u201dSnyder High School is a good team. It played a fast-paced game, similar to teams we will see down the road in the PSAL playoffs.\u2019’<\/p>\n
Brianna Ardolic played well for the Pirates after chipping in with 15 points and six rebounds. <\/p>\n
Sea 72, McClancy 60<\/p>\n
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Maria O\u2019Connell posted a double-double ith 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Vikings celebrated Senior Night with the non-league victory over the Crusaders in Huguenot.<\/p>\n
Olivia DiMonda recorded 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Giovanna Grima chipped in with 12 points, while fellow seniors Lina D\u2019Esposito, Brooke Molloy and Isabella Grippo teamed for another 14 points for the Vikings.<\/p>\n
Sea improved to 14-9 overall and 4-5 in league play. The Vikings wrap up the regular season Friday at Monsignor Scanlan. <\/p>\n
\u201cTonight was a very special one at St. Joe\u2019s and all about six kids who gave everything to our program,\u2019’ said head coach Josh Suslak. \u201dThey showed up every day, bought into our culture and helped set the standard for the younger players. The legacy they all leave behind is what really matters. Watching them out there all contributing in different ways towards a victory on our home floor one last time is something I will cherish and remember for a long time. <\/p>\n
\u201cSenior night possibly felt bigger tonight because this class somewhat represents the end of such a great run for us,\u2019’ the coach added. \u201dWe can\u2019t possibly thank them enough for their efforts over these past four years. They helped build it, and the next group inherits what they started. Now it\u2019s the younger players\u2019 job to carry that forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
Christ the King 70, Sea 46<\/p>\n
QUEENS, N.Y. \u2014 The Vikings went on the road and were defeated by the Royals in CHSAA AAA action last Saturday.<\/p>\n
Sea was led by Teagan Rowley\u2019s double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Olivia DiMonda scored 11 points while Giovanna Grima and Lila Goldstein teamed for another 14 markers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe knew we had to start off with a lot of energy and intensity to set the tone for the game and it just wasn\u2019t there tonight,\u2019’ said Suslak. \u201dWe got ourselves in an early hole and although we did some better things as the game progressed, CTK\u2019s lead was too much to overcome for us. <\/p>\n
