{"id":132550,"date":"2026-02-13T15:50:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T15:50:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/132550\/"},"modified":"2026-02-13T15:50:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T15:50:07","slug":"man-26-dies-after-being-shot-in-car-on-bronx-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/132550\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 26, dies after being shot in car on Bronx street"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 26-year-old man died early Friday after he was shot in the chest while sitting in a car on a Bronx street, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2026\/01\/01\/nypd-ends-2025-with-historic-decreases-in-murders-and-shootings-uptick-in-rapes\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">police<\/a> said.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was sitting in a vehicle on Thwaites Place and Barker Ave. in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx at 12:20 a.m. when he was shot, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>EMS rushed him to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nychealthandhospitals.org\/locations\/jacobi\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jacobi Hospital<\/a>, where he died.
