STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Forecasts leading into this year\u2019s Valentine\u2019s Day festivities show what could be a snow-kissed start to the weekend. <\/p>\n
According to AccuWeather senior meteorologist Dan Pydynowski, Staten Island could see a quick-moving low-pressure storm system late Friday night into early Saturday morning. It is expected to bring flurries and snow showers overnight, with minor accumulations expected.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe don\u2019t think it amounts to a whole lot, but tomorrow morning there could be a few areas where people have a little dusting of snow on the top of their car, or on the lawn,\u201d said Pydynowski. <\/p>\n
Any snowfall that does occur is expected to be light and fluffy, with little to no impact on roads or travel. Temperatures overnight should hover around the mid-to-upper 20s, before reaching the lower-to-mid 40s by Saturday afternoon. Wind speeds could reach up to around 10 miles per hour. <\/p>\n
On Sunday, temperatures could reach up to 38 degrees, followed by a chance of flurries at night, the National Weather Service is reporting. <\/a>Warmer conditions are expected to continue into next week, with temperatures possibly reaching 50 degrees by midweek.<\/p>\n
