(Kara Buzga for the Advance\/SILive.com).<\/p>\nSTATEN ISLAND, N.Y.\u2014 Moore Catholic closed out the CHSAA AA regular season in emphatic fashion on Thursday evening, earning a 56\u201333 victory over Notre Dame Academy at the College of Staten Island.<\/p>\n
The win secures a perfect 12\u20130 record in league play for the Mavericks and marks the second consecutive campaign finishing undefeated in the regular season, following last year\u2019s 14\u20130 run in the A Division.<\/p>\n
Moore set the tone early and maintained control throughout, leaning on defensive pressure and balanced scoring to pull away late. \u201cThis is a really nice accomplishment for our team,\u201d said head coach Gene Henderson after the contest.<\/p>\n
\u201cGoing undefeated in league play two years in a row\u2014 first in the A Division and now in the AA\u2014 speaks to the consistency, commitment, and toughness of this group.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Mavericks were powered by their senior leaders, who delivered on both ends of the floor. Mackenzie Felci posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, Alexandra Felci added 13 points and 7 rebounds, and Alyssa Ragona chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. <\/p>\n
Emma Costanzo orchestrated the offense with 8 points and 7 assists, continuing to be a key playmaker for the Mavs.<\/p>\n
Assistant Coach Amanda Henderson added that \u201cIt was another quality league win against a strong Notre Dame team. The players stayed focused and executed on both ends of the court.\u201d<\/p>\n
Moore Catholic improves to 17\u20135 overall and will wrap up the regular season Saturday with a non-league matchup against Cardinal Spellman, looking to carry its momentum into the postseason.<\/p>\n

St. Peter\u2019s rolled to an easy victory over Holy Cross on Thursday night in CHSHL A Division play at the Pavilion, improving to 9-6-1 on the season with a dominant performance from start to finish.<\/p>\n
Nick Aversa led the offensive surge with three goals and one assist, while James Boylan recorded a hat trick. Anthony Antenucci added two goals, Charles Bailey and Avery Lee each scored once, and Kingston Vandenheuvel chipped in two assists. <\/p>\n
Joe Sanger, Dan Pieters and Kyle Tuote each had one assist.<\/p>\n
The scoring began early, as just 2:27 into the game Aversa opened the floodgates with an unassisted goal. He followed it up with his second of the game at the 6:35 mark with a nice pass from Vandenheuvel to make it 2-0. He ended the period\u2019s scoring at the 10:15 mark on a pass from Tuote as the period ended 3-0.<\/p>\n
Antenucci began the scoring in the second period at the 2:51 mark unassisted. Fifty-seven seconds later, Boylan scored his first of the game after a feed from Vandenheuvel, and the period ended 5-0.<\/p>\n
The third period brought more of the same. At 3:18, Antenucci scored his second of the game on a pass from Pieters to make it 6-0. Boylan scored his second at the 3:31 mark after taking a pass from Sanger to make it 7-0. Lee added an unassisted goal at 5:09 to make it 8-0. <\/p>\n
Boylan then completed his hat trick at the 6:18 mark after a pass from Aversa, and Bailey ended the scoring at 12:00 with a hard shot from the point.<\/p>\n
Chris DiDonna made 17 saves for the shutout.
