Bronx Community Board No. 8 (CB8) has announced that it is seeking nominations from businesses in Bronx Community District 8 for the Betty Campbell-Adams Most Valuable Merchant (MVM) Award. The board covers the Bronx neighborhoods of Fieldston, Kingsbridge,\u00a0 Marble Hill, Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, and Van Cortlandt Village.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The board said they are looking to identify merchants within the community who have worked to enhance economic growth, improve community relations, and increase civic participation.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBetty Campbell-Adams was an iconic entrepreneur who was devoted to the betterment of our community,\u201d the board said. \u2018We believe that by recognizing our outstanding local merchants, we can, in some small way, reward those most deserving and inspire other businesses to follow her example.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, March 20.<\/p>\n
Entries must include the name of the business or merchant being nominated, along with contact information; the type of business e.g., manufacturing, tech, retail, service; a description, nature, and impact of the contribution made to CB8 by the merchant or business. The individual or organization submitting the nomination must also be identified, including a contact number.
