The Tuesday afternoon subway platform shooting was captured on video taken by a passenger aboard a passing train.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say shots rang out just before 3 p.m., striking Dawodu throughout his body. EMS took him to NYC Health and Hospitals\/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>His death marked the first homicide in transit this year, but it was not the first shooting at the 170th Street station; <a href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/bronx-man-faces-attempted-murder-charge-for-firing-shots-inside-east-170th-street-station\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">shots rang out a little over a month earlier<\/a> on the station\u2019s platform, but nobody was struck, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Police ask anyone with information about Frias to call the NYPD&#8217;s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The NYPD is searching for Alberto Frias, 27, accused of killing Adrian Dawodu, 41, of Manhattan.
