A 26-year-old man has died in the Allerton section of The Bronx following a fatal shooting, police said.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said that on Friday, Feb. 13, at around 00.20 a.m. officers from the 49th Precinct were informed by a 26-year-old man that he had been shot in the chest in front of 660 Thwaites Place. \u201cThe victim was transported by department vehicle to NYC Health and Hospitals\/Jacobi where he was pronounced deceased,\u201d the spokesperson said. \u201cThere are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police said the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.<\/p>\n
