STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 Looking for ideas for a family fun day in Manhattan? Consider partying with a Fraggle.<\/p>\n

There are plenty of ways to spend a Saturday in Manhattan \u2014 but how often do you get to party with a Fraggle? For parents who grew up singing \u201cDance your cares away,\u201d and kids discovering the Fraggles for the first time, a colorful underground adventure is popping up just a ferry ride away.<\/p>\n

Tickets are now on sale for \u201cJim Henson\u2019s Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE,\u201d bringing the colorful underground world of Gobo, Red, Mokey, Wembley and Boober to the stage at the New Victory Theater on West 42nd Street in Manhattan.<\/p>\n

The interactive musical runs May 30 through June 21 and is recommended for ages 4 and up \u2014 that sweet spot where kids are old enough to follow a story and young enough to believe a Doozer might wander down the aisle.<\/p>\n

For those unfamiliar, a Fraggle is a small, furry, music-loving creature from the children\u2019s television series \u201cFraggle Rock\u201d created by Jim Henson in 1983.<\/p>\n

Fraggles live in a colorful underground world called Fraggle Rock, where they spend their days singing, exploring, inventing, celebrating and occasionally getting into gentle trouble.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re curious, optimistic and deeply community-oriented \u2014 and each one has a distinct personality. At its heart, \u201cFraggle Rock\u201d has always celebrated cooperation, empathy and difference, through song and puppetry.<\/p>\n

For many adults, Fraggles are nostalgic of childhood days gone by. For kids today, they\u2019re still funny, colorful characters who sing and solve problems together \u2014 which might explain why they\u2019re still around more than 40 years later.<\/p>\n

For spring 2026 at the New Victory Theater, audiences follow Fraggles on a quest to find the lost Celebration Stone \u2014 an ancient treasure said to unite everyone for the ultimate party.<\/p>\n

The creatures are brought to life by Jim Henson\u2019s Creature Shop, the legendary workshop behind the Muppets and decades of family entertainment magic.<\/p>\n

But the fun doesn\u2019t end when the curtain falls.<\/p>\n

The New Victory turns the outing into a full experience, offering 45 minutes of free pre-show activities and 20 minutes post-show in the lobby, where kids can try hands-on, theater-inspired fun tied to the show\u2019s themes.<\/p>\n

For grown-up fans who grew up on Fraggle Rock in the \u201980s, two special \u201cGrown-Up Nights\u201d \u2014 June 12 and June 17 \u2014 will feature themed cocktails and pre-show activities, proving the Fraggles have never really left us.<\/p>\n
