A 51-year-old woman was shoved onto the tracks and a 43-year-old woman was punched in the face during an apparent random attack at a Brooklyn subway stop Saturday morning, police<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

Cops have apprehended the attacker, who was being questioned by detectives.<\/p>\n

The two victims were at the R station at 53rd St. near 4th Ave.<\/a> in Sunset Park at around 8:45 a.m. when the 25-year-old suspect stormed up and shoved the older woman onto the tracks.<\/p>\n

He then punched the younger woman in the face, cops said.<\/p>\n

No train had come into the station, and the older victim was able to get back onto the platform.<\/p>\n

EMS took both women to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn<\/a> with minor injuries.<\/p>\n

The attacker ran out of the station, but was tracked down and grabbed by police a few blocks away at the 2nd Ave. Men\u2019s Shelter, cops said.<\/p>\n

Charges were not immediately filed.<\/p>\n

Specs of blood were found around the edge of the platform where the attack took place Saturday.<\/p>\n

At around 5 a.m. on Jan. 18, a 35-year-old man standing on the Bay Ridge-bound R train platform at the 36th St. station in Sunset Park \u2014 just over a dozen blocks from Saturday\u2019s attack \u2014 was randomly pushed onto the tracks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cops later arrested 39-year-old homeless man Ivan Negron for the shoving. Negron, who was captured on an MTA surveillance camera as he fled the station, was grabbed after he was spotted at the Union Square station, cops said.<\/p>\n

The victim told police he did not know his attacker and had no interaction with him prior to the assault. It wasn\u2019t immediately clear if he climbed back onto the subway platform on his own or was helped by anyone else.<\/p>\n
