Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman received the New York State Conservative Party\u2019s nomination on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Blakeman also received the Republican nomination<\/a> at the state GOP convention last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to officially be the Republican and Conservative Party candidate for Governor of New York and am grateful to Chairman Cox, Chairman Kassar and all of the delegates who share our vision for a more affordable state,\u201d Blakeman said in a statement. \u201cWhile Kathy Hochul drives up taxes and sends electricity bills soaring, we are building the coalition that will win statewide in November and restore common-sense leadership to Albany.\u201d<\/p>\n

He has selected Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood<\/a> as a running mate.<\/p>\n

Blakeman is the only Republican in the field after Elise Stefanik dropped out in December.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He will be up against Gov. Kathy Hochul, who chose former New York City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams<\/a> as her running mate.<\/p>\n

She’s also the only officially-declared Democrat in the primary, after Antonio Delgado dropped out last week.<\/p>\n

“If Blakeman wins in November, Trump will be running the state of New York right alongside him,\u201d Hochul said after the GOP convention. \u201cThat means raising costs on families, letting ICE trample on New Yorkers\u2019 rights and waging war on New York kids.”<\/p>\n
