STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 The Staten Island Republican Party announced their endorsements Sunday afternoon for the 2026 elections.<\/p>\n

In a crucial election year, the SIGOP stuck close to their incumbents and sought new blood for seats they\u2019re seeking to conquer. <\/p>\n

Come November, elections for Staten Island\u2019s state assembly districts, state senate districts, county civil court, and the sole congressional seat will be up for grabs. <\/p>\n

As listed in a written statement, here are the SIGOP endorsees: <\/p>\n

Nicole Malliotakis for New York\u2019s 11th Congressional DistrictRuslan Shamal for New York\u2019s 23rd Senate District<\/a>Andrew Lanza for New York\u2019s 24th Senate DistrictCasey O\u2019Connor-Manasia for New York\u2019s 61st Assembly District<\/a>Michael Reilly for New York\u2019s 62nd Assembly DistrictSam Pirozzolo for New York\u2019s 63rd Assembly DistrictMichael Tannousis for New York\u2019s 64th Assembly DistrictGlenn Yost for Civil Court, Richmond County<\/p>\n

\u201cBy fielding a candidate for every legislative seat, the Staten Island Republican Party is ensuring that no neighborhood is left behind. When voters look at their ballots this November, they will be met with a real choice to elect dedicated leaders who will fight for their community,\u201d the statement detailed. <\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to once again receive the Republican nomination in my campaign to continue serving the people of Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn in Congress. Together, we have delivered real results – increasing the SALT deduction, cutting taxes for seniors, tipped workers, and working families, and securing our border and providing critical support for our law enforcement,\u201d Malliotakis said. \u201cAs our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, I will continue fighting to protect our freedoms, defend our families from the crushing tax burden created by Democrat-controlled city and state government, and make our community safe and affordable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shamal will challenge Democratic incumbent Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton. <\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to accept the Staten Island Republican nomination for State Senate. I came to the United States from Belarus to build a life in a free country, and I\u2019m not going to sit back while the DSA Democrats push New York toward higher taxes, weaker public safety, and more government control. I chose Staten Island to raise my family because this community stands for stability, safety, and common sense,\u201d Shamal said. \u201cIn the State Senate, I will fight for safe streets, back the NYPD, protect homeowners and small businesses, and make affordability the priority \u2013 lower costs, lower taxes, and a government that stops squeezing working families. I\u2019m proud to carry this nomination for the community I love, and I don\u2019t take that trust lightly. I will work every day to earn it, to listen, and to deliver results for Staten Island.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNew York\u2019s left-wing policies have made our state increasingly unaffordable, driving a record exodus of families who are crushed by higher taxes and soaring costs for electricity, heating, and groceries,\u201d Lanza said. \u201cI remain committed to reversing this trend with legislation that focuses on affordability, safety, and common sense. I am proud to stand with this Republican team on the front lines of the fight to save our state and ensure Staten Island remains a place where our children can afford to build their future.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Connor-Manasia will change Democratic Deputy Majority Leader Charles D. Fall. <\/p>\n

Throughout my career in the food service industry, I have seen firsthand how the harmful policies coming out of Albany are crushing our small businesses and stifling opportunity. As a mother of two raising a family in West Brighton, I am running to stop the overreach and fight for the common-sense relief our community deserves,\u201d O\u2019Connor-Manasia said.<\/p>\n

Throughout my career \u2013 from my twenty years as an NYPD Detective, to my time as an educator, and in my private legal practice \u2013 I have been dedicated to serving this community and upholding the law.
