This season, the women\u2019s ready-to-wear Big Four circuit<\/a> kicked off on February 11 in New York, \u200dand there\u2019s an exciting array of debuts, returns and reinvention in store.<\/p>\n

The week opened with a high-profile show: Rachel Scott\u2019s official debut at Proenza Schouler, following her midseason arrival last year, when she stepped in to refine work already under way.<\/p>\n

In her show notes, Scott wrote of keeping a \u201cproximity to art\u201d and \u201can edge sharpened by the city\u201d. This manifested in lightly rumpled dresses, irregular tucks and draping here and there, and unstructured tailoring. Powerful silhouettes with truncated waists offered up a nice contrast to the softer looks on view, making for a well-rounded picture of the New York woman.<\/p>\n

Here are some other highlights from the shows.<\/p>\n

Photo: HandoutJoseph Altuzarra\u2019s<\/a> latest collection was inspired by the stark realism of Diego Vel\u00e1zquez and the emotional maximalism of Pedro Almod\u00f3var. Reinterpreting a modern woman\u2019s wardrobe through this distinctly Spanish lens allowed him to explore some of the unabashed romanticism that so often gets lost in our daily lives.<\/p>\n

Stand-out looks included a black-and-white flamenco-like dress and slinky numbers with pom-pom details along the collarbone.<\/p>\n

Photo: BFA.comBlackpink\u2019s Jennie<\/a> may have stolen the spotlight at Calvin Klein\u2019s fall\/winter 2026 show on Friday, but creative director Veronica Leoni still offered up plenty of chic designs to fawn over.
