STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 A former Staten Island school is collabing with one of New York City\u2019s most popular cookie stores. <\/p>\n
St. John\u2019s University, which shuttered its Staten Island campus in 2024, has its very own Johnny Thunder-wich cookie sandwich available at Chip City locations in New York City and Long Island. <\/p>\n
The cookie is inspired by Johnny Thunderbird, the university\u2019s red-feathered mascot. <\/p>\n
Chip City posted pictures of the red velvet cookies sandwiching \u201crich chocolatey filling\u201d that has \u201cgame-day energy in every bite.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cPull up, rep the Red Storm, and grab yours before they\u2019re gone,\u201d Chip City\u2019s Facebook post said. <\/p>\n
In a twin post to Instagram, the official St. John\u2019s Red Storm account aptly commented a red circle and a storm cloud to represent the university\u2019s athletic teams. <\/p>\n
St. John\u2019s University\u2019s men\u2019s basketball team is sitting in second place in the Big East conference at the time of writing after beating the Providence College Friars on Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n
Chip City started not far from where St. John\u2019s University is located today. <\/p>\n
