STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 And now, it\u2019s back to the girls.<\/p>\n

A few weeks after we revealed the first boys\u2019 basketball \u201cHead Shots\u201d slideshow of the current high school, we\u2019re now shifting gears and showing off the first girls\u2019 presentation.<\/p>\n

This time around, we have a whopping 45 ex-Staten Island girls\u2019 hoopsters dating all the way back to the 1993-94 campaign (check out that lead photo!). <\/p>\n

Once again, the current 13 teams on the Island are being featured, as well as St. Peter\u2019s Girls and St. John Villa, both of which have closed.<\/p>\n

Some of the players featured were household names back in the day while others were role players.<\/p>\n

Why\u2019d we take head shot photos? Well, if a player did something extraordinary and we didn\u2019t have a photographer at a game, we\u2019d give them props by embedding their head shot in a story.<\/p>\n

Some of these photos, of course, have never been seen by the general public.<\/p>\n
