Sean Ebony Coleman<\/a>, founder and CEO of Destination Tomorrow, The Bronx\u2019s designated LGBTQ+ center, has shared a statement in response to the federal government\u2019s recent removal of the Pride flag from the Stonewall National Monument in New York City.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy removing the Pride flag from the Stonewall National Monument, the federal government is sending a clear message to America\u2019s LGBTQ+ community: we don\u2019t see you, we won\u2019t listen to you and we don\u2019t represent you,\u201d Ebony Coleman said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a petty slight from a homophobic administration. Removing our flag will not erase our history, it will not erase our movement. Our city\u2019s diverse and thriving LGBTQ+ community will make our collective voice heard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Destination Tomorrow is a New York-based nonprofit serving LGBTQ+ community members.<\/p>\n

Following protests at the location, the flag has since been replaced.<\/p>\n
