\u201cThey\u2019re [aliens] real, but I haven\u2019t seen them,\u201d the former president said in the nearly hour-long interview with Cohen.<\/a> <\/p>\n Obama said, \u201cThere\u2019s no underground facility [in Area 51] unless there\u2019s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States.\u201d <\/p>\n Area 51, a U.S. Air Force base in Nevada, has enraptured pop culture for decades. <\/p>\n From the 1996 Fourth of July classic, \u201cIndependence Day,\u201d to a 2024 Marvel Studios finale in \u201cVenom: The Last Dance,\u201d Area 51 is perpetually associated with the extraterrestrial. <\/p>\n Like many, aliens weighed on the mind of Obama \u2014 he confirmed their location was the first question he asked upon becoming the president. <\/p>\n This is not the first time that a United States official confirmed the existence of aliens. <\/p>\n Whistleblower retired Maj. David Grusch confirmed that the nation \u201crecovered non-human \u2018biologics\u2019 from alleged crash sites,\u201d according to reporting by NPR.<\/a> <\/p>\n \u201cMy testimony is based on information I have been given by individuals with a longstanding track record of legitimacy and service to this country \u2014 many of whom also shared compelling evidence in the form of photography, official documentation, and classified oral testimony,\u201d Grusch said during a 2023 hearing. <\/p>\n
