Amber Glenn, Alysa Liu and Isabeau Levito are all in the mix for the podium. The “Blade Angels” as they’ve called themselves, are considered one of the strongest collection of U.S. female skaters in many years.<\/p>\n
The “Blade Angels” won’t have it easy, though. A pair of skaters from Japan pose the strongest threat to Team USA heading into competition and a skater from Russia, competing as a neutral athlete, remains a wildcard. <\/p>\n

The women’s short program starts promptly at 12:45 p.m. ET. <\/p>\n
Liu, Levito and Glenn (skating in that order) are near the end of the program of 30 women. Her latest national title triumph saw her\u00a0post a record-breaking score<\/a>\u00a0in the short program as well as\u00a0personal-best marks<\/a>\u00a0in the free skate and overall score.<\/p>\n Glenn became the first woman to win at least three straight U.S. titles since Michelle Kwan, who captured eight straight from 1998-2005. Now, she aims to make the top of the Olympic podium.<\/p>\n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTeam USA figure skater Amber Glenn says she received a \u201cscary amount\u201d of hate and threats after speaking at an Olympic press conference and is taking a break from social media.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Isabeau Levito<\/p>\n Levito, 18, is a figure skater who was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Burlington County, New Jersey. She considers Igloo Ice Rink in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, her home rink.<\/p>\n She’s making her Olympic debut at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics and has been skating since she was just three-years-old. Levito has said she was inspired to take up figure skating after watching the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.<\/p>\n The 18-year-old comes to the 2026 Games with quite the resume.
