While S&amp;P has been open for three years (compared to the nearly 100-year-old Eisenberg\u2019s when it closed), it still relies on its Flatiron predecessor\u2019s timeless formula: a retro look and classic deli dishes. Don\u2019t break what\u2019s already been working for so many years. Sure enough, Eisenberg\u2019s sign is still there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">Order one of the<a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/2022\/10\/5\/23386042\/egg-creams-in-nyc-beanmonger-s-and-p-agis-counter\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> egg creams<\/a> \u2014 the frothy carbonated milk beverage \u2014 in classic flavors like chocolate, vanilla, and coffee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">The weekday lunchtime rush is no joke. Get there before 11:15 a.m.-ish, before the lunchtime rush. Or go the solo route and sit at the counter. <a href=\"https:\/\/order.online\/business\/sp-lunch-11662414\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DoorDash<\/a> handles in-person takeout and delivery orders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1 masaseg\">There may be no better daytime restaurant than S&amp;P, a Flatiron lunch counter that <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/2022\/9\/21\/23349210\/s-p-opening-court-street-grocers-eisenbergs-flatiron-nyc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">opened<\/a> in the former home of Eisenberg\u2019s. Pull up a seat at the 40-foot counter and order from a menu of sandwiches topped with chopped olives and cream cheese; tuna salad and cranberry sauce; and peanut butter and bacon. (This is a restaurant from Court Street Grocers, after all.)
