KINGSBRIDGE, The Bronx (PIX11) \u2014 Friends, family, and the community held a candlelight vigil Wednesday to remember Christopher Redding,<\/a> who police said was killed in a triple shooting in Kingsbridge last week.<\/p>\n

His mother, Shampagne Christian, has been trying to piece together a nightmare ever since.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wasn\u2019t in no gang,\u201d she said. \u201cMy son was a good son. An honest boy,<\/a> and I want justice for my son.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 16-year-old is remembered as a dedicated athlete whose loved ones said he was deeply committed to his education and his passion for sports. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou broke me,\u201d said Christian. \u201cYou took everything from me.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI don\u2019t get my son \u2014 to see him have kids. I don\u2019t see him getting married. I don\u2019t see my son walking across the stage.\u201d <\/p>\n

Surveillance footage captured people running from the scene last Wednesday afternoon. Moments later, Redding collapsed on the sidewalk after detectives said he was shot in the back. The shooting also left two other teens injured, according to police.<\/p>\n

Redding\u2019s father, Bryan Corley, talked about their final game of basketball together.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe and him finally had our last one on one basketball game,\u201d Corley said.<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThat boy is self-taught. He\u2019s a superhero.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now a memorial is growing near Broadway and West 238th Street, where Redding took his last breaths, as the community called for an end to senseless gun violence.<\/p>\n

Police tell PIX 11 News a 17-year-old has turned himself in. Investigators are still searching for at least three others who were involved. Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark is urging them to come forward. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou need to know that I\u2019m looking for you,\u201d said Clark. \u201cThe police are looking for you. The opps are looking for you, and the community is looking for you.\u201d <\/p>\n

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the police.<\/p>\n
