EAST NEW YORK \u2013 THREE ROBBERS POSING as house cleaners robbed an East New York couple of over $100,000 in jewelry last week, police said.<\/p>\n
At around 9:27 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, an unidentified woman knocked on the door of the home of a man, 31, and woman, 30, at Vandalia and Fountain avenues, claiming to represent a cleaning agency. As the residents opened the door, the woman, along with two other men,\u00a0 displayed firearms and forced their way inside. They then entered a bedroom and stole jewelry estimated to be worth $118,000, along with a purse, wallets and credit cards.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The thieves fled south on Fountain Avenue. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
The female robber was last seen wearing a black jacket, a white T-shirt, black pants, a black hat and black sneakers. The second robber, a man, was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and a dark-colored hat. The third, also a man, was last seen wearing a multicolored blue sweatshirt, dark-colored pants and black sneakers.<\/p>\n
