Initially garnering mixed reviews, the record has since become a favorite among fans \u2014 and on March 26, it will be revisited for a remastered and expanded Collector\u2019s Edition.<\/p>\n<p>The reissue will feature a 2026 mix of the album, as well as \u201cfly-on-the-wall\u201d audio from the recording sessions, previously unheard demos and outtakes, live tracks and radio performances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cQueen II was the single biggest leap we ever made,\u201d said guitarist Brian May in a statement, looking back on the record. \u201cThat\u2019s when we really started making music the way we wanted to, rather than the way we were being pushed into recording it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Added drummer Roger Taylor:\u00a0\u201cWith Queen II, I couldn\u2019t believe how much work we put into it. I think we felt we were evolving our own sound. We were pioneering this sort of multitracking thing. Whenever their newest record would come out and have all these other kinds of music on it, at first I\u2019d only like this song or that song. But after a period of time listening to it, it would open my mind up to so many different styles.
