This past weekend,\u00a0TONY-nominated actress and singer\u00a0Melissa Errico<\/a>\u00a0returned to\u00a0Birdland Jazz Club\u00a0her fourth annual\u00a0\u201cLost in His Arms\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Valentine\u2019s residency, once again playing\u00a0six sold-out shows\u00a0to packed houses in New York City. Backed by an\u00a0A-list quartet\u00a0\u2014 including\u00a0Andy Ezrin\u00a0(Chris Botti, Madeleine Peyroux) on piano and longtime\u00a0Barbra Streisand collaborator Brian Koonin\u00a0on guitar \u2014 Errico delivered a musically rich, emotionally resonant set that critics praised for its vocal brilliance and intimate storytelling. Throughout the three-night run, she transformed classic torch songs into modern reveries \u2014 performances that smoldered, sighed, and sparkled. As\u00a0Interludes\u00a0noted, the show was\u00a0\u201ca satisfying and infectious ode to the Great American Songbook, which Errico has emerged as one of the unofficial keepers of, particularly in the world of cabaret.\u201d<\/p>\n
