Tickets for the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band\u2019s \u201cLand of Hope & Dreams American Tour<\/a>\u201d stop in Brooklyn went on sale Friday<\/a> for as much as $2,957.10 through a link on his website directing fans to Ticketmaster.<\/p>\n

Seats for many of the Boss\u2019s gigs, including his two Madison Square Garden appearances in May and his April 20 performance in New Jersey go on sale Saturday.<\/p>\n

At least one observer at NJ.com expressed sticker shock<\/a> over the ticket prices already posted as well as what\u2019s to come.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe knows how deeply it hurts many lifelong fans,\u201d Springsteen\u2019s hometown outlet wrote.<\/p>\n

Springsteen once again<\/a> finds himself in a position of particular social relevance.<\/p>\n

On Jan. 28, his newly released protest song \u201cStreets of Minneapolis\u201d<\/a> became a rallying cry against ICE tactics being employed in Minnesota\u2019s capital, where protesters Renee Good and Alex Pretti were killed by federal officials.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair \u2014 the cavalry is coming!\u201d Springsteen said in a statement announcing the tour while denouncing the nation\u2019s \u201crogue government.\u201d<\/p>\n

The White House reacted to word of Springsteen\u2019s tour with a statement<\/a> calling the 76-year-old Academy Award<\/a> and multiple Grammy Award<\/a> winner a \u201closer\u201d whose fans will abandon him because of his distaste for the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

Springsteen\u2019s 20-show tour concludes<\/a> on May 27 in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

Fans in the New York City area willing to drive to see The Boss were able to buy premium tickets to his Belmont Park show for under $600 Friday. Cheap seats behind the stage at Barclays Center price at around $200.<\/p>\n
