The New York City mayoral election<\/a> has captured the attention of not only the city but the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n

President Trump has repeatedly weighed in on the race<\/a>, and the candidates have received high-profile endorsements<\/a> from Congressional, state and city leaders.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As voters make up their minds<\/a> between Democratic frontrunner Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa, here’s a look at where the endorsements stand heading into Election Day.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The list below appears in alphabetical order.<\/p>\n

Andrew Cuomo<\/p>\n

New York City Mayor Eric Adams ended his reelection campaign early<\/a>, but he is still hoping to have an impact on the race. Adams, who has been an outspoke critic of Mamdani<\/a>, and is endorsing Cuomo to succeed him<\/a>\u00a0at City Hall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg also came forward to\u00a0endorse Cuomo in the Democratic primary<\/a>\u00a0in June, which he\u00a0lost to Mamdani<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Former New York Gov. David Paterson had endorsed Cuomo in the primary<\/a>, as well, but later\u00a0changed his endorsement to Adams<\/a>\u00a0for the general election. Paterson has not addressed his endorsement since Adams ended his campaign.<\/p>\n

Also back in the primary, state Sen. Jessica Ramos\u00a0suddenly left the race<\/a> and urged her supporters\u00a0to vote for Cuomo instead<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mamdani earned key endorsements from\u00a0Sen. Bernie Sanders<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez<\/a>\u00a0in the primary and was cross-endorsed by many of his fellow Democratic candidates.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His campaign has continued to pick up support, including from\u00a0Gov. Kathy Hochul<\/a>, state Attorney General\u00a0Letitia James<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0 leaders of both the state Senate and Assembly.<\/p>\n

Curtis Sliwa<\/p>\n

Sliwa is being backed by fellow Republican Reps. Elise Stefanik and Mike Lawler, as well as former New York City\u00a0Mayor Rudy Giuliani<\/a>, who also endorsed his 2021 run for mayor, which he lost to Adams. \u00a0<\/p>\n
