Free Upper West Side News, Delivered To Your Inbox<\/a><\/p>\n Police say a 28-year-old man was stabbed in front of 899 Tenth Avenue (between 58th and 59th streets\u2013part of John Jay College) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n An NYPD official tells us the victim was walking and the suspect pulled out a weapon and stabbed him in the back, \u201ccausing physical injury\u201d which was treated at Mount Sinai West, right across the street from the location of the incident. <\/p>\n The perpetrator fled south on Tenth Avenue by foot. The attack<\/a> was reportedly unprovoked.<\/p>\n The entrance to the building was blocked by police tape, as shown in a video by ABC 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re looking for a male Black, approximately 40 years old, 5\u201911,\u201d slim build, wearing a beige sweater and a beige hat,\u201d an officer could be heard saying on a police dispatch call (c\/o Citizen<\/a>).<\/p>\n No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.
