{"id":141509,"date":"2026-02-22T03:21:10","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T03:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/141509\/"},"modified":"2026-02-22T03:21:10","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T03:21:10","slug":"thomas-white-paces-mens-lacrosse-falls-to-fairfield","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/141509\/","title":{"rendered":"Thomas White Paces Men\u2019s Lacrosse; Falls to Fairfield"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>                    &#13;<br \/>\n                        &#13;<br \/>\n &#13;<\/p>\n<p>RIVERDALE, NY \u2013 The Manhattan Jaspers Men&#8217;s Lacrosse team (1-3) fell to the Stags of Fairfield University (2-2) by a score of 15-9 inside Gaelic Park on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Jaspers and Stags did battle one hour behind schedule after the contest had moved back to 12 p.m. just two days ago.&#13;<br \/>\n\tBehind two goals were the Green and White, before <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/nick-henry\/12171\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12171\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Henry<\/a> logged the team&#8217;s first goal just five minutes and change, after <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/thomas-white\/12153\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12153\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas White&#8217;s<\/a> initial attempt went wide.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThen, <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/connor-engel\/12170\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12170\" target=\"_blank\">Connor Engel<\/a> joined the party with his first goal of the afternoon to narrow Fairfield&#8217;s lead to just one.&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn the second quarter, trailing by two, the Jaspers began building some momentum but couldn&#8217;t find the back of the net. The third chance was the elixir, with <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/tyler-mosca\/10170\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10170\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Mosca<\/a> bringing the deficit back to within one.&#13;<br \/>\n\tFour minutes later, the Stags posted their fifth goal, before <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/jack-miller\/10167\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10167\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Miller<\/a> found the back of the net to narrow Fairfield&#8217;s lead to one, for the third time on the night.&#13;<br \/>\n\tCarrying momentum down the stretch were the Green and White, with <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/thomas-white\/12153\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12153\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas White<\/a> capturing the next two goals, the tying, and go-ahead goals to head into the locker room ahead of Fairfield by one.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThroughout the third quarter and midway into the fourth quarter, the Stags posted nine unanswered goals before Miller stopped the bleeding with a man-up opportunity to cut its opponents&#8217; lead in half.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/casey-klossner\/10091\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10091\" target=\"_blank\">Casey Klossner<\/a> made things interesting with his first goal of the campaign six and a half minutes in, and exactly 10 seconds after Miller&#8217;s power-play goal.&#13;<br \/>\n\tWith the Stags ahead by as much as six, but in the box for slashing, the Jaspers took advantage one final time with a <a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/thomas-white\/12153\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12153\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas White<\/a> power-play goal.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>STATS AND NOTES<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/thomas-white\/12153\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12153\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas White<\/a> added three goals on eight shots, with four coming on goal.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/jack-miller\/10167\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10167\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Miller<\/a> registered two goals on as many shots on goal.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/casey-klossner\/10091\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10091\" target=\"_blank\">Casey Klossner<\/a> won 10 faceoffs on 24 attempts. The reigning MAAC Co-Faceoff Specialist of the Week also logged a goal in one attempt, while picking up a team-high four groundballs in the effort.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/tyler-mosca\/10170\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10170\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Mosca<\/a> posted a team-high three points with one goal and two assists on four shots. Mosca also picked up one ground ball.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/connor-engel\/12170\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12170\" target=\"_blank\">Connor Engel<\/a> also recorded one goal on three shots, while picking up two groundballs on the afternoon.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/gojaspers.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/nick-henry\/12171\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"12171\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Henry<\/a> posted his first goal of the season on three shots and one on target.&#13;<br \/>\n\tManhattan logged nine total saves on the day. The Jaspers also cleared 17 of 21 total attempts.
