NEW YORK (PIX11) \u2014 A dangerous nor\u2019easter could bring 24 inches of snow<\/a> to parts of the tri-state area. Here\u2019s when to expect the snow to start falling.<\/p>\n

New York City will see a mix of rain and snow<\/a> throughout the day, turning fully into snow by 7 p.m., according to PIX11\u2019s meteorologists. Snow will start to accumulate at that point.<\/p>\n

NYC forecast and PIX11\u2019s Weather Center <\/a><\/p>\n

Snow rates will increase to 2-3 inches<\/a> per hour overnight and into Monday morning, lingering through 10 or 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

Some areas in New Jersey, like Morristown, Trenton and Sussex,\u00a0saw snowfall starting between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Snow will start in the rest of New Jersey by the early evening.<\/p>\n

The snowstorm will peak after 7 p.m. Sunday and continue into Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n

Long Island, New York City, and eastern New Jersey will see between 12 and 20 inch es of accumulation, with some areas up to two feet of snow.<\/p>\n
