LONG ISLAND (WABC) — Two people were using a crosswalk in Amityville, New York when they were struck by an SUV and a Suffolk County Transit bus at the intersection of Broadway and Oak Street on Friday evening.<\/p>\n

One pedestrian died and the other was hurt.<\/p>\n

Pablo Serrano and Claralee Correa were using a crosswalk when they were struck by an eastbound 2003 Mercury Mountaineer at approximately 8:10 p.m.<\/p>\n

The two pedestrians were then struck by an eastbound 2010 Orion Bus, which was also turning left onto Broadway behind the Mercury.<\/p>\n

Pablo Serrano, 61, of Woodside, Queens, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Claralee Correa, 45, of Brooklyn, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Neither driver was injured.<\/p>\n

The crash is under investigation.<\/p>\n
