\u201cThis campaign is about the people of Bayonne. Tonight is just the beginning,\u201d Booker told the crowd of over 200 people on hand.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur city deserves leadership that is accessible, accountable, and focused on results. Together, we\u2019re going to move Bayonne forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the venue, Booker outlined key priorities of his campaign, including strengthening public safety, promoting responsible development, supporting local businesses, enhancing transparency and accountability in city government, and investing in infrastructure and community services.<\/p>\n
His running mates for non-partisan May 12th municipal elections are 1st Ward Councilman Neil Carroll, former 2nd Ward Councilman Sal Gullace, 3rd Ward Councilman Gary La Pelusa, the council president, with Ramon Veloz and Melissa Enriquez-Rada at-large.<\/p>\n
Booker first announced he would be running for mayor in mid-November<\/a>, with former Bayonne Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski filing with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (NJ ELEC) about two weeks later, as HCV first reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n She formally launched in January<\/a> and announced her fifth and final running mate last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ashe-Nadrowski\u2019s ticket has \u00a0Gene Perry<\/a>\u00a0running in the 1st Ward, Board of Education Trustee\u00a0Melissa Godesky-Rodriguez<\/a> in the 2nd Ward, retired Hudson County Sheriff\u2019s Office Det.
