STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 TSA PreCheck and Global Entry is officially shuttered Sunday as the government deals with a partial shutdown impacting the Department of Homeland Security. <\/p>\n
\u201cTSA and CBP [Customs and Border Patrol] are prioritizing the general traveling population at our airports and ports of entry and suspending courtesy and special privilege escorts,\u201d DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said, according to the Associated Press.<\/a><\/p>\n The move to close TSA PreCheck and Global Entry comes just over a week after the shutdown began on Valentines Day. <\/p>\n As a result, it is expected delays will begin to pile up at American airports. <\/p>\n The official TSA and DHS websites are not being \u201cactively managed,\u201d a banner on each website reads. <\/p>\n \u201cDue to the lapse in federal funding, this website will not be actively managed. This website was last updated on February 17, 2026 and will not be updated until after funding is enacted. As such, information on this website may not be up to date.
